2010 OARS Invitational Regatta On Saturday, March 13, over 2000 high school student rowers from 29 teams from Florida, Georgia, New Jersey and Canada bring their oars and best competitive spirit to the Orlando Area Rowing Society's 12th Annual OARS Invitational Regatta. It will be held on Turkey Lake in Orlando's Bill Frederick Park from 8 am-5pm and is considered one of the southeast's most prestigious rowing events. There will be food and merchandise for sale. On March 14, the adult Masters rowers will host the OARS Masters Invitational Regatta from 8am-2pm. There is a $4 park entry fee but the event is free to the public. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to watch the races.
"Experienced" youth rowers may be eligible to join the team for the Spring-10 Season with an OARS coach's recommendation, based upon rowing experience. Rowers who may qualify to join our team for Spring-10 should contact OARS as noted on the "How to Join" web page (or click here). Thank You.
